CLIMATOTHERAPY WITH BIOSTIMULATED PIGMENTATION WITH PATIENTS WITH PSORIASIS VULGARIS AND EVALUATION OF THE RESULTS IN THE COURSE OF 3 YEARS.

Introduction:

  • Climatotherapy in treating PSORIASIS VULGARIS is a proven treating method. We have been using this method for a few years in the Ohrid region and it is the method of choice in the nummular form of psoriasis, especially with the younger generation. Methods and materials
  • Show case: a 17year old patient that has been treated with climatotherapy for the last 3 years.
  • During the first health check in January 2006, the patient has erythematous changes with silverlooking scales all over her body, extremities and face. Some spots are nummular with tendencies to blend together, as well as excoriations from the itching.

Before tretmant – April 2006

  • DESQUAМATION

After the analysis we started the desquamation process by using urea/salicyl products made in our laboratory.

  • INSOLATION

In June, 2006, we exposed our patient to morning sunlight with previously determined dynamics. During the insolation, we treated the patient with natural oils.

The patient was exposed to sunlight 60 hours in the course of 21 days.

OCTOBER, 2006 RESULTS

– In 21 days we achieved good pigmentation and the spots with permanent psoriasis were left with discreet leukoderma changes.

– The changes on the face completely disappeared

– No visible new changes or reappearance were noticed with the patient. The patient spent most of the winter in Galichica and her total winter insolation lasted for 3 hours. During the winter and spring, the disease was in complete remission.

Insolation during winter

JULY, 2007 RESULTS

– In the summer of 2007 we repeated the insolation process.

– By the end of July, all leukoderma changes disappeared.

2009 RESULTS

– In 2008 and 2009 the patient was trained for the treatment, but on the several health checks there was no sign of reappearance of the disease.

– Conclusion: Climatotherapy is a treatment of choice with some types of psoriasis, especially with the younger generation where the treatment can be conducted in the nature, combined with fun and games.
